AMITABH BACHCHAN, RAJINIKANTH & MOHANLAL TO ACT IN A SHORT FILM ON CORONAVIRUS AWARENESS

Ever since India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi imposed a 21-day lockdown to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic, many celebrities across the nation have been advising people to follow social-distancing and self-isolation method.

Now, popular stars Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Mohanlal, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt among others have come together for a short film, titled Family. Directed and conceptualised by Prasoon Pandey, the film is made on an intention to spread awareness about Covid-19, which has claimed over 60,000 lives across the globe.

Family talks about the importance of personal hygiene and the efforts that every individual should put in to fight against the deadly disease.

The celebrities will apparently exhort people to regularly wash their hands, to stay at home and also look out for symptoms like fever and cough.

The short film will be premiered across Sony Network on Monday (April 6) at 9 pm. This is said to be an initiative undertaken by Amitabh Bachchan in association with Sony Pictures Networks India and Kalyan Jewellers. They will also be funding monthly ration of 1,00,000 households across the country.

Earlier, Megastar Chiranjeevi had collaborated with Nagarjuna, Sai Dharam Tej and Varun Tej for a song that also talks about coronavirus.

The Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy star posted the song on his Instagram page, asked his fans to come up with such creative numbers and send it to their team.

He wrote, “Here is a unique song video we recorded and shot while staying at home, to spread the India Fights Corona message. You too can shoot yourself singing the song on the phone at your homes and send the footage to us and we will edit it, to add you in the video.
